My problem that really onion gets some nice taste from that type of cooking so veggies pizzas are all mid. And yeah the rest is bad but how can you like pizza when you only eat the base that's baffles me the most.

It's an unpopular opinion but it is probably some kind of healthy reaction. Vegans complain that humans weren't meant to eat meat. No. Humans weren't meant to eat bread. They were meant to eat fruits and nuts and fish and squirrels. If you can rope a deer or beaver even better. They only ate grains and roots during times of starvation or oppression. Grains were things they ate in February if the rats got their potatoes.
