Hyperbole is tough.

by raynorbrandt 2 days ago

True. Not one writer in a million can use it correctly.

Bowl of Cheddar and Gouda, shredded. Little Italian herbs and breadcrumbs. Bake in a small dish for 5 min at 250. Heaven. Replace the Italian herbs for cajun seasonings for a spicy version.

Are we talking shredded cheese? Melted cheese? Why in a bowl? Is that just to reference the quantity? I think lots of people eat cheese on its own but the bowl is what's really throwing me in this scenario. Please explain why a bowl

So, I literally eat cheese by itself. So, there really isn't a such thing as too much cheese imho. As in, too much cheese in a specific meal that makes it less appealing. That said, there is a such thing as too little other things, so I eat other types of food as well.

"Potato chips: you can't have just one!" "Actually I CAN have just one!" "ok"

by Anonymous 2 days ago

What do you eat in the middle of the night if you're not hunched over the sink with a handful of shredded cheese?

"ANY AMOUNT OF CHEESE BEFORE A DATE IS TOO MUCH CHEESE!"

by Anonymous 2 days ago

In countries where the cheese culture comes from: France, Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Denmark (the list isn't complete) there's no such thing as using unhealthy amounts of cheese. It's a north American invention.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

What you're talking about is a hyperbole. It's not meant to be taken literally.

When I make a cheese sandwich I use cheese as the bread.

by Hayesmadelyn 1 day ago

I hate when there is too much cheese in grilled cheese, tacos and burritos. And those 3 always tend to have too much cheese for my liking.

by beckerewald 1 day ago

Especially at Taco Bell for the burritos. I always ask for no nacho cheese in them, because they just paint the insides of the damn things with the stuff

when I was little we were on a roadtrip and ended up in a restaurant called The Firehouse I think, and thats where I discovered you can have too much cheese on something. I think I ordered a cheese sandwich and got basically a huge brick of cheddar half melted between the bread. It had to be held together with a toothpick. It was tall with cheese. It was like their shtick I guess, but it was a crime against cheese

I'm with OP - overcheesed pizzas in particular end up greasy and soggy.

The fact that Costco's Cheese Pizza has more calories than the pepperoni pizza disgusts me

by Sadye82 1 day ago

this is why I dont like mac n cheese

by eleanorestreich 1 day ago

Yes! Too much cheese is disgusting. I hate herring or mackerel in cheese! Cheese in my coffee is a no-no as well!

by Barrowsturner 1 day ago

Thank you!!!! I'm in the less cheese more sauce team. I hate a pizza that when it comes out of the oven has had all of the sauce evaporated off. It's just cheese bread at that point. Don't come up with more ways to add cheese to a pizza. Come up with a way to make a good pie and actually have sauce present on it.

by Anonymous 1 day ago

I agree but for me it's not about too much cheese ON something, it's more like having a bunch of cheesy foods round after round. After that, just the smell of baked cheese is nauseating.

by Anonymous 1 day ago

I realised this after ordering a pizza with extra cheese, too much cheese just made me feel sick.

by Anonymous 1 day ago

You don't have to eat it all, this ain't grandma's house.

by Jastvicky 1 day ago

I'm lactose intolerant so…

by gorczanynathan 1 day ago

Depends on the dish, of course. With raclette or cheese fondue you can hardly complain about there being too much cheese. Inferior cheese maybe, but not about how much of the meal is cheese.

by Barrowsturner 1 day ago

Extra cheese totally ruins a pizza . It's a glutinous, rubbery, congealed mess

by Anonymous 1 day ago

Any amount of cheese is too much cheese.

The true unpopular opinion

by Anonymous 1 day ago

There's a restaurant in my town that made such a good Mac and cheese. A couple of years ago, they made it 2x cheesier, which basically meant it is now swimming in a cheese sauce. its disgusting now
