+44 If you are unhappy/angry at your job so you half ass it. Don't. amirite?

I am currently unhappy with my job, but I don't half ass it on purpose. I just feel unmotivated to work with the same drive I had when I joined the company. Things seemed nicer back then, and now it's just a shell of what it used to be. It also sucks knowing that the work that I am doing is quite useless and nobody needs it, but I have to keep doing it because somebody told me to.

Depends entirely on the job. Most cases this is a yes to maybe, but in some cases it's not at all.

This sounds like a rant, not a general opinion lol.

We've all been there lol

Depending on the job, it's not exactly hard to half ass it and not inconvenience your coworkers. I do it daily, I'll go above and beyond for the coworkers I like, but I'm also going to take care of myself and not put too much on my plate just to look like a good little number.

This is the ticket right here. When I am upset about work, any requests that come in from coworkers or that are time sensitive get done immediately, but if I'm tasked with nothing? Yeah I'm just burning time until 5 PM

Sounds to me like you hate your coworker who's doing exactly what you should. You're the one who's the issue, not the coworker.

That's a whole lotta conjecture lol. Love the guy, hate him when he makes my work day harder. Simple as.

by Commercial-Chard 2 days ago

Here's an idea, just don't.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Don't what? Love him? I can't, He's awesome!

The other coworker should do the same, and then the next one, and the next one. Oops started a union.

Some unions create some of the laziest corner-cutting and complaining employees I've ever worked with. Then complain about their pay. Bro, we've been sitting here doing nothing for 4 hours!

Personal responsibility. I do enough - if you don't think it's enough, tell the manager. Or do it yourself. Or whatever, not my problem. I didn't put you in your position, that's between you and your boss.

Reminds me of a job i had where everyone deliberately worked slow to "get their hours" like bitch I dont want to be here any longer than necessary.

You shouldn't be concerned with what others are doing. Your gonna give yourself a stroke 😜
