RNG is obviously involved, the whole game is literally about preparing your board for how to deal with the random pieces you get.

I've not watched it but I think it's basically just about the creation and popularisation of Tetris. Anyway, I have a less extreme view but I'm generally unimpressed by Tetris. However, I was born in 2003 which was long after its creation, hence I was not in the relevant culture. I can still appreciate its significance though Wiki link)
