No one criticizing it considers it an all powerful world shaping tool, why should anyone care about your opinion if you've clearly never listened to a single person being negative about your precious machines? People criticize them for being inefficient, poor quality, and a tool for nothing more than replacing workers because billionaires have no taste and will support anything so long as they think it will let them lay people off. If that's hype for you than no one can really help you

AI has plenty of real world use. They're just not in the fields that are mass marketable and therefore make heaps of money. That's why is all marketing and campaign, they need to milk the cow until they can and then let go. Its like 3d tv, all the rage everywhere and it died in 5 years as its was more pain than function.
