+52 Most people should just order their fast food via the restaurant's mobile app to save time. You already have media apps stealing your data for the last decade, amirite?

by heaneyima 2 days ago

I don't use it because when I decide to get fast food I'm driving. And I am not going to use my app to order food while driving.

You park in their lot for 2 seconds..

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Or any lot. Drop off my kids for an activity and put in an order, go get it. Or just pull onto a side street and park along the road for 2 minutes even. And what do you know, foods ready when you get there, no waiting.

May as well go in at that point.

What 3 data heavy apps do I have?

by Anonymous 2 days ago

I assume they mean social medias or something? Maybe Google and/or Amazon? Which a lot of people use, but not really everyone

by Anonymous 2 days ago

How much fast food are you eating?

by Heidenreichkath 2 days ago

None really, because I don't wanna use the app to have somewhat normal prices....plus I'd rather make my own burgers as price for 6 burgers home made is about the same as 1 value meal.

In life, sometimes you just have to wait.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Because Bojangles doesn't have honey mustard on the app and I have to go in and specifically ask them for it

by Abbygleason 2 days ago

The real answer.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Same with Taco Bell, breakfast salsa isn't on the kiosk or app, you literally have to ask an employee.

by Evening-Insect-7715 2 days ago

So I should order off an app while I'm driving? That seems unsafe.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Or or hear me out, park at the establishment, place order on phone, bust a nut rq, walk in get food with semi chub

Elite method

by Anonymous 2 days ago

I don't want to download and learn multiple apps just to get food.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

So your whole argument is your data has already been stolen or leaked so you shouldn't care about your data being stolen or leaked again?

by Bettieschroeder 2 days ago

Personally I get it. But who we choose to have access to our stuff is our business.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

That is fine if you chose to but OPs argument is bad that you shouldn't care because other apps you use already steal your data and your SSN has already been leaked.

by Bettieschroeder 2 days ago

I don't want multiple apps clogging up my phone. I don't care about the data side, they already know enough about me to do what they want.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

I'd rather pay for the convenience of not needing an app every time I order. Same for driver reward points, and everything else. I don't want an extra trinket I have to carry in my wallet; I don't want to put in my phone number every time I buy something, and I don't want yet another advertisement showing delicious slop hitting my mailbox every day. You cannot convince me that a business having a direct advertisement line to me is not costing me more money in the long run.

by Capital-Ice-3621 2 days ago

Probably 1000 dollars a year if you're using food apps everyday.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Because those apps conveniently leave things out. McDonald's for example: can't put onions on a McChicken, can't put Mac sauce on many things, ect. At the counter they can add these items(it's in the computer and chargeable, so why not the app?).

by Evening-Insect-7715 2 days ago

Who cares. I'm some NPC to them. They don't GAF who I am, and I don't GAF who they are. Why is this such a sticking point for so many people? Is it delusions of grandeur?

by Anonymous 2 days ago

It's also a cheeky way they let you avoid some of the inflation of their prices

by AffectionateSun4694 2 days ago

the Taco Bell app really makes it worth it, there are some crazy deals on there. I also like ordering on apps bc I don't have to say my whole entire order, so there's less room for confusion.

by Evening-Sentence-510 2 days ago

Why don't you go inside to pick it up if the drive-thru is busy? Or select curbside delivery? It's also not a bad thing to practice patience sometimes. If you're in a rush, grab a protein bar instead or something.

by No_Cream_1079 2 days ago

You can usually get some kind of discount. Maybe even something for free.
