Are you going to a BBQ place for breakfast? That might be the problem. I have never seen anyone put BBQ sauce on breakfast sandwiches, drown it in ketchup yes, smother it in butter always, but never BBQ sauce. Maybe try a different breakfast place.

I agree... But I should mention there was a time when BBQ sauce was good. I recently ordered McDonalds nuggets for the first time since 2005, for old times sake, and OMFG the bbq sauce they got today is disgusting. Its closer to ketchup than their old bbq sauce used to be. It is waaaay to tomato forward. I feel the culture is turning on it because McDonald's cheaped out.
