+65 Having your arm or leg dangling off the edge of the bed when sleeping is super comfy and anyone who says otherwise is just afraid of a monster under the bed snatching their limb. amirite?

For me I become conscious of the sensation of blood running down and weighing down the part hanging over so I get uncomfortable

by geraldine82 2 days ago

Strangely enough this is the moment where it gets comfy for me

I don't find it comfortable in the least and I am certainly not afraid of any monsters. My arm would just fall asleep if I left it dangling like that.

I'm scared of the cat who bites my toes. Limbs in the bed at all times is necessary for a good sleep 😂

Ah, so this person lives with the monster who snatches limbs

My sensory issues are not me being afraid of monsters

I am indeed afraid of the monster getting me from under the bed. I'm a grown man but very superstitious. You will not find me sleeping with anything out of the covers even if it's over 100 degrees😂

To add to this, "exposure therapy" for this... As in just doing it or let it happen until it becomes no big deal and was a false fear, frees you so much mentally. Same with people who allow a part of their brain force them to put the TV volume on an even number. Allowing that part of your mind to take control makes things worse and stronger, and honestly will worsen your impulse control over time. Just leave your volume on 13. I promise it won't hurt. But not doing so will hurt your strength of willpower in other aspects of your life. Same with the fear of your foot being vulnerable. Once you get used to that, you feel less vulnerable in other similar situations where there is no real danger.

Makes me think of Dave Mustaine who fell asleep with his arm over a chair and damaged a nerve in his arm. Saying this, im a sprawler with a violent startle reflex and I can't go to sleep unless my feet dangle over the edge of the bed.

That's what everyone says, who has never had their limb snatched by a monster from under their bed

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Ya, but then my cat attacks my foot

finally someone gets it. There's nothing better than that slight breeze on your hand dangling off the bed.
