There are numerous regional cuisines in China with thousands of unique dishes. You would need to spend years to just familiarize yourself with them. Do you think you tried enough of these foods to form an informed opinion? I feel like it would be difficult for you to scratch the surface of Chinese food unless you traveled all over China for a long time, have tried tons of dishes, and can speak Chinese or have friends there helping you order. American Chinese for is mostly just chunks of deep fried meat in some kind of sweet sauce.

I'm not saying you need to go through the scientific method. However, if you went on a five-day trip to China and only had a few meals out, it is hard to say you tried enough Chinese food to give an informed opinion on the entire cuisine. Northeastern Chinese food is completely different from food in Guangdong or Hunan.

No, you americanized versions are trash. The originals are better. American pizza is trash, especially the chicago pies, those are not pizza, they are quiches American cheeses are all bad, no exceptions, wisconsin is an insult to real cheese. Go travel and learn about the world
