+115 Evil always win in the end, amirite?

by wittingchrista 2 days ago

Too many battles have been fought where good won out for this "unpopular" opinion to be true.

I've never denied that good traditionally wins. I'm saying that evil has already ruined tons people in the end. I think I couldn't convey it that well which is my bad.

I mean your OP says evil always wins in the end. If someone suffers a transgression and can manage to turn it around and get justice for themselves and others also wouldn't be evil winning in the end because of how empowering that journey is.

I think that you might want to consider talking to a therapist.

What? They are kinda right tho?

Of course I've gained good experiences I've never denied that I'm saying that most of the other good experiences I could've experienced were taken away from me.

by wittingchrista 2 days ago

I could've experienced Now that's just entitled.

by quigleyrussell 2 days ago

Why is that? Genuinely curious

"I could have done better if the world didn't disappoint me and offered me better things"

I'm not trying to say that I've always worked hard to achieve things I want and will be doing the same in the future. I'm just saying that I've never had the chance to exprience some fun things that people usually experience. If I lived somewhere good and then missed those chances yeah that's on me but I was just trying to say that those chances were not given at all. If I explained it incorrectly sorry

I'm not saying I'll never try to study or be a bum. I'm just stating the obvious. If anything I'm trying to be successful in spite of everything. Don't make dumb assumptions

Don't make dumb assumptions Take your own advice.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

What is my assumption? Not trying to do a gotcha moment. Just want to see my mistake

You're right my bad nothing to say back in this one

I'll take it one further. The hero is often worse than the villain. He takes the villain down, but rather than ending him, decides he is better than that. Knowing that when the villain eventually gets free (which happens far too often) he will continue killing, raping, pillaging, etc. At least the villain is honest about what he is. The hero holds himself to a standard where good cannot win, because by being good, he is not removing the bad. Simply delaying it. But, agreed. We live in a world where we cannot protect people. Only hold the evil accountable after the fact. And then, only if they don't have wealth and power.

I agree with your unpopular opinion, which I do think is unpopular. So often good people are good because they do nothing. Sometimes what it takes to kill a bastard is an even bigger bastard. In some unlikely and infinitely rare instances, that turns out well for the good people. All we ever argue about on this site is whether to do anything or not (good people versus bad people) and if somethings to be done, what that should be (bad people versus bad people).

There's no such thing as good and evil. There is only popular and unpopular.
