You know what this is about right? what happened yesterday in Utah?
by Birdiedickens2 days ago
I don't care. It's not about that. If it was MLK you would be singing a different tune. If it was your family member you would be right beside me in this.

Fascist

Is this about actual opinions like favorite flavour of icecream or is this about people advocating for taking away human rights OP? Because human rights arent up for debate.

It's about wanting to speak out against what happened in Utah yesterday. It's about what I read in certain chats. If I'm angry about something why I have to mask it? Is a certain group of people that fragile?

Who says you can't? Just because people then voice their own opinions about your opinion, doesn't mean any one is saying you can't still share yours.

You're allowed to have an opinion, but voicing an opinion requires accepting there will be criticism and rejection if it's unpopular, or praise and acceptance if it's popular, that's everyone else's right.

In the 90s, you weren't telling your jokes and opinions to 100s of random people all at once on the internet. You were speaking your opinions to friends and family in person. Which gave you the opportunity to explain your words to ears willing to listen, understand, and respond.

This is a popular opinion because people will have serious consequences for saying more extreme things now. Especially after the recent event. It's sad, but it is what it is. Personally if someone on the street asked me hard questions with a camera in my face I would probably not answer. Too many potential implications from one side or the other.

This is definitely politics. Admitted by your own words. If this isn't a removal, idk what is.

This is my point exactly.

I can respect this. 👍

When your "free speech" borders on hate or dog whistles calling for the same violence you kinda should be censored. Take a look at where the country is when uncensored, unfiltered speech is allowed to run rampant.
