I have yet to go to a restaurant where it didn't say underneath what the dish includes..... is that truly that uncommon in other parts of the world?

Our favorite diner has the same specials on the board all the time, one is "dirty chicken." Do we know what that is? No. Do we talk about it every visit? Yes. Finally we overheard another table order it and they said, "instead of rice can I get fries?" And the waitress said, "it doesn't come with rice," which prompted the person to ask what it was. It's three chicken tenders on a biscuit with gravy and cheese.

I know it's not fancy to have pictures. But when I'm at a really swank place with good food I get a little stress stressed out trying to decipher everything. I'll pick something, and then someone at another table will get something completely amazing looking that I never could've pictured in my head. You know how they bring out a dessert cart? I would love it if they brought out an entrée cart too.

I don't think I've ever been to a cafe with pictures on the menu. I only really see that with ethnic food or the likes of Denny's.
