+38 Apple Music is better than Spotify, amirite?

by Trantowjevon 7 hours ago

Lowkey kind of agree. I don't like the Spotify UI, I find it somewhat burdensome. Apple Music is clean and intuitive.

100% I will die on this hill, Spotify UI pisses me off for some reason, feels like it's trying too hard to give me a good user experience, and it fails. I just want music, Apple Music provides a great experience, easy to find everything, simple UI, no ugly colours and dumb suggestions, artist and album bios are always well written, great playlist curation too. Spotify is crap in comparison

Right lol I e discovered so much music through Spotify although their radio featured changed recently which was annoying

by Anonymous 6 hours ago

Agreed. Podcasts alone make me prefer Spotify.

by Anonymous 6 hours ago

That's crazy. IMO the podcast UI on Spotify is atrocious. Having to use a separate app for music and podcasts is inconvenient but still preferable to THAT

by OkEntertainer 6 hours ago

the Podcasts app that is installed by default has every podcast in existence available to it for free. What is it about the implementation on Spotify that makes it better and worth paying for?

YouTube Music is better than all. It has the most songs by far and even includes YouTube Premium.

I've heard the audio quality is much better with Apple Music

by Pagacenos 5 hours ago

Apple music has better sound quality when on an android phone+earbuds that supports hi-res Bluetooth codecs than when on any iPhone official earbuds (none support it) . It's kinda crazy lmao. For me, apple music also has more of my favorite music than Spotify does. So Apple music on my Samsung galaxy wins here by a long shot for audiophiles. The library is just a personal preference.

sry how do we know if an earbud supports whatever that is. i have an android and apple music and I would like to know what that is to get the most out of this combo

by Anonymous 4 hours ago

Do you mind sharing what earbuds you have? I can help out then 😊 you'll need to go into the app that control your earbuds to find the settings. You need to turn LDAC on if your earbuds support it.

I just saw today when I opened Spotify they're rolling out lossless music for premium users

by Sea_Fun 4 hours ago

Once that finally happens, then the debate will just be down to personal music preference. Until then, though...

YouTube Music if you're looking for the most song selection. Apple Music does have its advantages with audio quality

Also no more ads

also with Apple Music you can use your local files and they still sync between devices (compared to Spotify that doesn't sync, don't know how Youtube Music compares there though)

by Anonymous 2 hours ago

This is the way!

the playlists Wtf?

by Legitimate_Blood_878 2 hours ago

YES! I made the switch last year. Apple Music is cleaner, more intuitive, and straightforward. Spotify feels loud and cluttered, like it's trying to be TikTok or a social app instead of a music service. Apple Music just gets out of the way and lets you enjoy the music.

I had issues with Spotify un-downloading my entire library, and would have weird skips on occasion. Haven't had those issues with Apple Music. Apple Music pays the artists slightly more per stream than Spotify does as well.

by Stock_Serve 1 hour ago

A whole penny per stream I've been told. And without Spotify's no monetization for under 1000 listens bs
