Dating apps: where your thumb gets more action than your... wiener.

I think dating apps are a lot more convenient for people. Before the apps, you had to put in a lot more effort to meet people. You had to put yourself out there and get rejected. You had to go out and start convos with strangers. Or you built a rapport with someone through work, hobbies, sharing the same friends and that took time. Now people can sit on their cough and swipe and swipe until they get a date. It's a lot easier and faster and probably very helpful for anxious people. However, I don't think dating apps work as well as real life dating. Something about swiping on some curated pics and a bio doesn't really do it for me.

Mostly agree. I'm a woman's dating group and so many of them waste so much time being endless pen pals. If you're not going to meet in the first couple weeks, end it. People are trying to build an entire relationship online before they even meet. Then they are shocked Pikachu face that they get burnt out on dating.

You're an outlier. That said, i met my wife via a forum myself, which included a massive gap in location.

Not for me. I had a ton of free time because I was making money from crypto at the time but everywhere I went-there were only old people. Even at the bars. Apps were the only way to find people my age lol. I am in south Florida though.

That was a smooth way to tell everybody you made money from crypto.
