You don't get to choose how long you live when you are Immortal and you will live longer alone then every other Human Lifespan that has ever lived Combined. No Light, No Stars, No Touch, No Smell, No Up or Down just you and your mind. How long will it take for Madness to take hold?

Do you really care though if you actually go insane? If someone is out of their mind, so to speak, it's not like they are suffering. Only the people around them would suffer, which wouldn't exist.

Even if a billion years was manageable for a human mind, that's still basically nothing compared to forever. Instead of living forever, did you mean living indefinitely? If so, it wouldn't be an unpopular opinion.

Yes, that's the popular opinion. I think someone would be objectively more beautiful if they didn't get old and wrinkly. A 400 year old healthy person wouldn't be thinking "I bet this sunset would be more beautiful if I was already dead"
