My dog is fat less attention seeking than you.

by Ricewilma 11 hours ago

He's not fat he's thicc

by Anonymous 11 hours ago

If you think my dog doesn't disagree with me or question me you've clearly never had a dog

by EquivalentSubject 11 hours ago

💯 My dog challenged my perspectives daily.

by Anonymous 11 hours ago

Yes, it was a joke

by EquivalentSubject 10 hours ago

Which is "I prefer things that can't disagree with me".

by Zestyclose-Spot-2557 10 hours ago

Indeed, I could've just said that in the first place, but I had to make it more complicated cause that's what I do. That's that tism touch.

by Anonymous 10 hours ago

Which means you agree with OP then, that it is a reflection of self-absorption to prefer animals to humans. And no offense but self-absorption is a common feature in autism.

by Zestyclose-Spot-2557 10 hours ago

There's this quote by Paul Nicklen, a wildlife photographer and conservationists that has stuck with me for a long while. It goes something like "Nature has no villains. Only balance." I wholeheartedly agree with his insight and feel that exact mindset is what draws us to bond closer with the idea that non-human animals are "pure" and more worthy of our love. It has little to do with control or with self absorption. Of course, speaking only for myself.

by Anonymous 9 hours ago

And speaking for me

by Anonymous 9 hours ago

I love that quote! Humans tend to narrativize and make things black and white. I guess it's not that animals are pure (cause I don't think that), but more simple? Present and in the moment?

by Anonymous 8 hours ago

Man, that is a garbage opinion and demonstrates someone who doesn't understand animal behavior, training, or sentience. Bravo

by Ashamed-Angle 8 hours ago

Or it stems from trauma and a lot of bad experiences.

by Anonymous 8 hours ago

You prefer a creature that can't disagree with you, question you, or challenge your perspectives. You've never met my corgi lol.

by Anonymous 8 hours ago

Or my husky. We argue multiple times a day, and he's stubborn af

by langworthamanda 8 hours ago

All huskies have a communications degree given to them at birth lol.

by Anonymous 8 hours ago

Or my chihuahua. He absolutely hates everyone but me. And he will absolutely make that known. 🤣

by Dkris 8 hours ago

My dog always disagrees when we say it's 'too early' to have her dinner lol

by Anonymous 7 hours ago

I always just read it as "I prefer being alone" or "I don't like being around people"

by ObjectiveVersion 7 hours ago

Most people suck. End of.

by Elegant-Athlete 7 hours ago

You might be why they prefer dogs to humans

by Anonymous 7 hours ago

Op thinks to themselves wow, all of the people I try to hang out with suddenly started saying they prefer animals to humans....they must be narcs

by Carrollfanny 7 hours ago

Probably depends on the reason they prefer animals over humans

by Anonymous 6 hours ago

Anyone with a lot of experience with humans, and some experience with dogs, will prefer dogs.

by Anonymous 6 hours ago

I definitely prefer dogs for that reason lol

by bertrand74 5 hours ago

same here! and I have felt that way a very long time.

by Anonymous 5 hours ago

Doggos are cute. Doggos are fun. Doggos make me smile. Can't say that about 90% of the people I know.

by Anonymous 5 hours ago

You are correct dog people love dogs because they don't have an individual expectation in return or as with people and they have requirements that need to be upheld so it takes effort, the " my dog is my kid. All humans suck" people are actually the ones that suck and can only secure their love and respect from an animal that would give it to them regardless. I've made this claim for years.

by AsleepMarionberry326 5 hours ago

I don't hate other people. I've just had a very difficult life that was extremely traumatizing, so I prefer to live by myself, no friends, limited family, and my cute doggos. My dogs don't hurt me, judge me, use me, etc. It's just a very innocent kind of love that I need in my life. Yes, there are most definitely great people in this world, but I have not gotten that experience yet. I'm open to it, but I've been degraded by people who are supposed to care for me. There is nothing wrong with loving animals more than people. People can be vile. Just look at the state of our world right now.

by Anonymous 5 hours ago

Except plenty of people suck but have tons of friends and fun just because they're super confident. What do you have to say about those people? Lol. The truth is, no matter how good you are, people can betray you. And tbh usually the good people get betrayed the most, the ones that suck usually do the betraying so they end up happy that they're using people anyway. What it takes to be able to consistently be with lots of people and not end up miserable, is usually either strong boundaries and a strong sense of self, and/or lots of resiliency. Or you just have to be one of the callous ones that end up putting people down, that's one way you can sustain that and keep your own sense of self high so you don't have to put in effort to be a good person. Lots of people are like that but people usually either join them or develop tough skin, but there will be some people that just don't find it worth it playing that game so they eventually find their own enjoyment alone or with just one or two special people mostly. So no, you really can't tell who sucks and who doesn't just by whether they only have a dog or cat, or if they have tons of friends and people around them. Sometimes people are just tired of filtering through sucky people and just wanna chill alone with a cute animal.

by bertkovacek 4 hours ago

You are the literal reason I don't like people.

by RollProfessional2380 4 hours ago

Bad bait try again

by Anonymous 3 hours ago

You've clearly never owned a dog

by EquivalentCity 3 hours ago

I prefer animals over OP

by Anonymous 2 hours ago

dumb chatgpt bait :| this isn't an unpopular opinion, it's drivel/chatgpt being self-absorbed would mean that you wouldn't want to deal with the needs of others, including animals. some people are introverted / otherwise have a social battery that drains quickly / have negative experiences, and animals can give comfort without the same kind of uncertainty / risk / exhaustion that some people feel from interacting with other humans

by Capital-Ad 2 hours ago

Considering what most people are like to deal with, give me the dog... or cat or, even the piranha

by Anonymous 2 hours ago

My pets are better than humans. I have a parrot and he absolutely regularly disagree with me. And argues with me. Loudly.

by Dkris 2 hours ago

If I want to be disagreed with, questioned or challenged, I have cats for that.

by Anonymous 1 hour ago

I live on a farm with animals that injure me. I still prefer them over most humans. You sound like you have a superiority complex and simply just refuse to understand WHY so many people say that.

by WiseSuggestion 1 hour ago

Most ppl prefer money to human too

by bergstromadelbe 1 hour ago

I prefer being alone.

by Anonymous 1 hour ago

I think the animals are everything people are weird AF but your arguments are weak tbh.

by Anonymous 56 minutes ago

My cat and my horse's give me peace of mind but also, if you've ever known a cat or a horse you will know that there is no such thing as unearned loyalty. With some dogs, may be another case, though.

by Carrollfanny 47 minutes ago

You've clearly never met a cat.

by Anonymous 37 minutes ago

My cats disagree with me about 60% of the time.

by prosaccojeremie 31 minutes ago

It depends. I think people get to that point sometimes because you get very jaded with humanity. Animals cant lie but humans can
