I believe if you want it bad enough you can get it. The point is that being rich won't necessarily make you happy, but it does solve a big reason for being sad/depressed. It's also less stressful being richer. minimalism allows people who may have had cluttered minds to reduce that issue in real time, and try a simpler life.I have never been destitute, I did live in a small apartment with my parents and was fine, but that's not homeless tier. I do not think anyone argues being homeless is easy, and will be easy to be happy in that situation.

Solving problems? The greatest problems we face, wealth inequality, climate collapse, political corruption are directly engineered and funded by their class. A few quiet philanthropists writing off taxes don't outweigh the systemic harm done by the thousands hoarding resources and lobbying against human dignity. Your 'low-profile saints' narrative is a convenient fairy tale to keep us complacent. I don't need to 'see a homeless person' to recognize a system designed to create them.

I hear you, but instead of complaining and virtue signaling, the good rich should focus on results, that'd make everyone happy, wouldn't be the worst thing if they were slightly less rich so kids didn't starve or something
