Yeah sometimes the circumstances are so dumb that we can tease a bit about it. Imo people are getting too sensitive nowadays. If I do something stupid my friends will make fun of me and vice versa and we get annoyed and then we laugh about it. It shouldn't be a big deal.

I would personally say that any relavent question is not a stupid question. That's why they say "there are no stupid questions". But this isn't an unpopular opinion at all.

Well I added in the caveat of "relavent" because people can ask obviously stupid questions as a joke or just to be difficult. Let's say someone is teaching a group of people how to use excel for example. If someone asks "Can a banana be legally used as a gavel in a time of civil unrest?" then that question is irrelevant and stupid.

My philosophy is "there's no such thing as a stupid question" everyone has gaps in their knowledge. Yes, some of those gaps are surprising, but the fact they are asking means they want to know so I will always answer with no judgement
