What about a pot roast makes it "Mississippi"?

OP, are we talking about a UK Sunday roast or like American roast dinner?

I would be far happier with a big bowl of ramen. Roasts, depending on cut, cook time/temp, and seasoning, can be "meh".

If you don't eat that goddamn roast beef then you can go to bed!

Anyway, I absolutely HATE those meals... I think the flavors of all of those ingredients clash... because my tastebuds actually work; it seems to me that a lot of people have tastebuds that don't seem to "work" as well as mine... I don't mean that I'm better, I can just taste so many things that my friends and family can't seem to taste. For me, I never cook these or have these at home... if I'm visiting a relative who serves a roast... I'll eat a tiny bit and then concentrate on the sides --- but sometimes, they don't have any sides... that's crazy.
