Oversimplification, which ignores the reality of being a liar: you have to remember all the lies you told, and to whom you lied. Sam Rayburn, the greatest House Speaker who ever ruled the House with an iron fist, said that it didn't matter that his memory wasn't so good because he always told the truth.

If it was so easy people wouldn't get caught doing it. All the time.

They get away with it 100,000x more of the times.

Majority of time it's more about whether you care enough to lie or not

The only thing we truly have to offer others is our words. If your words aren't worth anything (and people will know) what does that say about you?

I like to say to people, Did you know people can just lie? It's such an obvious thing but people have a tendency of just believing everything told to them.

Why would this be an unpopular opinion? The average person lies a couple of times a day.
