You're not wrong to feel this way. Online relationships can be just as real and meaningful as in-person ones emotions and care don't depend on physical proximity. People who pursue connections online but treat them as disposable are being selfish and disrespectful. The key is mutual respect: if someone truly values a connection, they show it consistently, whether it's online or IRL. If someone can't, it's okay to step back and invest your energy where it's appreciated.
