The Average Rich Person Gets More Hate Than They Deserve, amirite?
by Anonymous3 days ago
This opinion is crazy work
by Anonymous3 days ago
I reject the premise. Nobody is hating on rich people and their day-to-day lives, it's the opposite.
by ShallotElegant3 days ago
I think the hate stems from the mindset that certain classes of wealth tend to adopt once they're rich.

A millionaire isn't as rich as you think. People who work hard and save and have a couple millions in net worth are likely to live like they always have. When I think of rich I'm thinking of someone who has enough money to never work again. Rich enough where they make more money in investments than you will make in a year.

I mean, couldn't you do that with about a few million though if you're invested in something like bonds, and have everything paid off?
by Anonymous3 days ago
In a lot of places yes, in the higher col areas maybe not.
by Anonymous3 days ago
Yeah billionaires usually deserve the crap they get. Millions can be made by working a career and making smart investments, its not insane wealth.

The average millionaire is not the source of your suffering. It's the Jeff Bezos who don't let wages keep up with inflation to afford their third yacht

I think you are missing the point- the problem is not about rich people per se, the problem is how the system is organised in such a way that the 1% rich is absolutely above everything and everyone, and takes it all . Check the guy who was CEO of Lehman brothers, he puts millions of people in extremely difficult situations during 2008 crisis- the worst he got was a tap on the fingers …he wasn't even blacklisted, and he just had to cross the road to start doing the same thing again. I mean , I don't care about rich people and some deserve to be there. What I cannot digest is how unbalanced, unfair and totally f…up the system is, and how it favours in such an obscene way the 1% . There is not a shadow of justice and that is hard to swallow.

There's definitely a difference between "I started a chain of car washes in my city and it's doing really well" compared to "I own every car wash in the country and I have systematically lobbied to let the cheaper but more destructive chemicals I use be allowed to still be in use". The former is a solid work ethic and hopefully can enrich the community through providing good pay for honest work. The latter is the most commonly destructive, influential, and insidious kind, and that camp will happily trade the lives of entire towns for a marginal quarterly profit. That's the difference.

Exactly. A small business owner making a million a year isnt affecting you in any way and why dont they deserve it? You can do it too, no?

"The Average Rich Person"
by Anonymous3 days ago
That is to vague to have any meaning. You might as well just put a number on what you mean. "average rich person" = means nothing

Not gonna mention the obvious traits like pedophilia on a global scale, genocides, literally being the reason for inequality on this planet, corruption, incest, taking away freedom from people, taking away belongings... Wow I can go on for days!

LMAO! They got another one.

A 70 year old with 2 million dollars isn't what I'd call rich in the first place
by Sarah133 days ago
Hey, that's like 80k a year in bonds! Bro does not have to work anymore!
by Anonymous3 days ago
Unpopular, I might add. 😏
by Anonymous3 days ago
If I get hate from living below my means and slowly investing in the stock market like the majority, I don't think I'll care about their opinion too much lol.

I don't know where you got your information. Wealth is generational, and rich people are usually not self made.
by Anonymous3 days ago
Even three-five million can be generational if you invest it carefully in safe places and teach your kids properly. And, yes, most people with over a million are self made through investing, high earnings, or growing small businesses.
