We should all be fighting for peace and acceptance, amirite?

I'd love to live in peace. But the powers that be don't allow it. So we need to fight at least for now

"I'd love to live in peace but the powers that be won't allow it," is an insane thing to say.

Your words cut through the static of a world that's too busy pointing fingers to hear its own heartbeat. We're all wired with the same basic program, seek safety, belong, and be understood. When we let fear hijack that code, we build walls that look solid but crumble at the first tremor of empathy. The real fight for peace isn't a battlefield of slogans; it's a quiet, relentless practice of seeing the person behind every label, extending curiosity instead of accusation, and remembering that the "other" is just a reflection of our own hopes and hurts. If enough of us choose that daily, low‑key rebellion, listening more, judging less, the collective pulse will shift from division to a shared rhythm before the fractures become permanent.

Sorry, but no. I was like this for as long as I could remember, and always wanted peace, but the real world is not fair, not nice. There are certain groups of people that I am unable to tolerate, as 100/100 times they have proved they must not be tolerated.

Oh yeah, that's really unpopular. Honestly, you're so edgy for coming up with such a far out there idea that nobody before you ever has before.

A tolerant society cannot tolerate the intolerant.

The catch 22 to became an intolerant society, let's hope to remain in the "tolerated" group.

Well, simply put they don't work. Humans are lazy, cruel, unpredictable and evil. That's why we organize the trust and value we put in others based on a tribal hierarchy: family, clan, class, citizenry, nationality, ethnicity and so on. Any other way has proven ineffective and detrimental

Cruelty is not a default but a state that is created and tempered. Yes, there are cruel people, but there are so many that wish and would be willing to be kind given the right circumstances. If they do not fear for their own safety and taught each others humanity, there's a chance we may come to each other with acceptance. We can protect ourselves from others to not be foolish without giving up our compassion and empathy. it is why i say fight. I truly believe we should fight to be better. More understanding, more forgiving. There will be exceptions and those that take advantage of this but we also can't let go and give up it. The alternative is a worse world. Always.
