Shampoo and conditioner are unnecessary and don't have to be used. amirite?
by Anonymous3 days ago
Sounds like you're pretty gross. You clearly have an allergy to one of the ingredients but instead of talking to a doctor you make everyone hang around your gross ass

You do "shampoo" your body hair, it called soap. Our bodies do not automatically clean our hair for us, that has always been the jobs of humans and we found different ways to do so since the beginning of time. You need to at the very least, be washing your hair with soap once a month

We wash ourselves. Youre just dirty

>I'm actually a very clean individual in every other aspect. Yeah, every aspect except your body and hair. You know, the stuff that traditionally stinks. SMH

You said this: We don't shampoo our arm hair, or armpit hair or pubic hair now do we? No, it just seems silly.

"Lice are more common with people who use shampoo and conditioner"; dude what? "Broken ankles are more common with people who wear socks."
by Existing_Bell_67823 days ago
Do you have a source to back this fact up?
by Anonymous3 days ago
Not a valid source but I believe lice like clean hair / scalp but if you never wash it out / clean out how will they ever go away.
by Anonymous3 days ago
Exactly. It's like just maintain washing your hair and you won't have any
by Anonymous3 days ago
You know you can't claim you are a clean person just because you do clean some stuff. You need to clean them all…

I'd hate to see your water bill after all those clothes washes. (T▽T)

You don't wash the other hair on your body?
by Affectionate-Emu91053 days ago
Itchy? You might be allergic to something.
by Anonymous3 days ago
I think it's mainly drying it out / removing natural oil.
by Anonymous3 days ago
It could be the sodium lauryl sulfate which is itching you. It is an ingredient in almost all shampoos because it makes the product lather.
by Anonymous3 days ago
If it's drying it out to the point that it's getting itch and flaky it's also possibly a form of dandruff. My son noticed his head would flake and itch after shampooing and he would go a while without shampooing saying it made it better when, in reality, the oil was just matting all of the dead skin to his hair and creating a layer on his scalp which you don't want because the skin and the oils need to be rejuvenated every couple of days to keep the follicles and pores healthy.

Your hair is not my hair. Hair condition depends on numerous factors, each of them differ from person to person. You don't need shampoo or conditioner? Great. Love that for you. A lot of people, however, do.

Go wash yourself, Gomer.

Depends on how much oil one's scalp is producing. If one is a greasy adolescent like I used to be, shampoo is highly useful for minimal cleanliness. Just rinsing my hair and scalp alone wasn't enough to keep it from being oily looking and feeling not clean. Using a body or face bar soap might be good enough. In a pinch while travelling I've done that - doesn't lead to my preferred hair texture, but bar soap does clean my hair and scalp. I agree that conditioner is a frill, at least for me. Your regime reads hygienic to me. If I had your regime, my hair would probably feel not clean enough after a week and be limp without a shampoo, but I wouldn't be stinky.

People that go to the gym in the middle of the day or after work.

OP is using shampoo and conditioner incorrectly and/or buying the wrong kind for their hair.
by elena653 days ago
If you don't mind my asking, how often were you shampooing your hair? You're only supposed to shampoo it once every 2-3 days
by Anonymous3 days ago
Soap has less ingredients than shampoo
by Anonymous3 days ago
I definitely shampoo my armpit hair, beard, and public hair. I use conditioner because my hair gets frizzy otherwise. I work outdoors so I'm covered in dirt which most certainly is in my hair.
by Anonymous3 days ago
That's an unnecessary assumption. So many generations of human beings have survived without these things.
by Christianlabadi3 days ago
If I don't use dandruff shampoo I will have epic proportions of snowfall all over my house.
by Anonymous3 days ago
I'd say that you can replace shampoo and conditioner with natural and more mild To the skin cleaning agents. There are plenty of ways to keep yourself clean and healthy without using over manufactured products. But one shouldn't every avoid washing with any kind of cleaning agent because that just gets gross. Water ain't quite enough in the long run.
