-76 I prefer 30 fps than 60fps in most games, amirite?

by Anonymous 1 day ago

Now that's an unpopular opinion 😂

by Anonymous 1 day ago

No, it's a personal one as it says in the title.

by Anonymous 1 day ago

Shut up

by Anonymous 1 day ago

As someone who plays mostly turn based games this has almost never mattered to me 😂

by Anonymous 1 day ago

What a bad opinion but an unpopular opinion. So I respect that.

by Alarming-Debt-5945 1 day ago

Yeah, it's just because you're not used to it. People generally don't like change. 30fps CAN be smooth, if done right (e.g. RDR2 on console), but it's hardly ever done right. 60fps+ will always feel way better in most instances.

by Epaucek 1 day ago

Ngl it probably is ragebait

by Anonymous 1 day ago

There are dozens of us

by Anonymous 1 day ago

Definitely bait

by Anonymous 1 day ago

Should be unpopular opinions not rage bait last I checked

by Anonymous 1 day ago

I prefer 30 fps as well what you gonna do

by Pitiful-Ordinary-768 1 day ago

Nope

by Anonymous 1 day ago

This isn't even a fully formed opinion until you mention what game you're talking about.

by Distinct-Smoke-1196 1 day ago

Thats like saying you'd rather watch a movie in 1080p instead of 4k

by BubblyDivide 1 day ago

I know it's bad, but I can't tell the difference between 30 and 60 frames per second cry 😭

by Anonymous 1 day ago

Finally an actual unpopular opinion

by Anonymous 1 day ago

I'm mad

by Many_Buddy 1 day ago

I completely disagree, but I kind of get it. Sometimes, I'll stream a movie that's in 60 fps for some reason, and it just looks....wrong. I suppose that's the same feeling you get with games.

by IntrepidCopy6061 1 day ago

I don't feel this way about games (it's hard for me to imagine, honestly), but I actually do/did feel this way about shows and movies. I've gotten more used to it, but I still don't love it.

by Laylacummings 1 day ago

Congrats you just won the most unpopular opinion of the year award! 🏆

by Foreign_Shirt 1 day ago

Wait till you go to 120+. It's actually crazy and I can't go back.

by aufderharalvert 1 day ago

Get your eyes checked.

by Anonymous 1 day ago

this is so crazy but i respect it 😂

by Anonymous 1 day ago

nice try RANDY

by Anonymous 1 day ago

I literally can't play anything below 50 fps, feels like a stupid slideshow. Maybe you just don't experience much of a difference between 60 and 30 but I do. It's worse than comparing 1080p to 2160p. My unpopular opinion is that movies should have 60 fps too. Immersion multiplies by a great amount.

by greysonkub 1 day ago

You don't tho that's not how the human eye works

by alicewiegand 1 day ago

30 fps feels much better with a controller compared to mouse and keyboard. You can't feel camera movements as much using joysticks.

by Sensitive-Monk 1 day ago

This is so true. On console the difference is way less noticeable

by YogurtclosetLegal707 1 day ago

I genuinely cant see the difference between 30 FPS and 60 FPS, side by side sure i see slight differences but its not that big of a deal

by Top-Calendar9504 1 day ago

You must be blind then. After I gpt 185hz, even 60 feels little laggy. There is clear difference even between 60 to 75 let alone from 30 to 40. With 30 fps u can play game as cinematic movie which is bad for most

by Spirited-Channel3976 1 day ago

A LOT of PS2 games ran at 60 fps btw

by Ryanrogers 1 day ago

Thats cool, it really doesn't matter as long as im at a constant framerate, im happy

by Top-Calendar9504 23 hours ago

Framerate means everything tbh.

by prohaskaclara 23 hours ago

Caramba, como não? 🤣🤣🤣 É tipo trocar de um jogo praticamente injogável para algo fluído.

by Anonymous 22 hours ago

I honestly can't tell the difference. Makes everyone whining about frame rate drops seem like such a diva

by Anonymous 22 hours ago

If you can't tell a difference its probably because your TV or monitor is trash. I could hook a $3k PC and run 300fps on my TV but if it's only rated for 60hz it won't matter much

by Anonymous 22 hours ago

Your brain just processes things slower so its less noticeable.

by Anonymous 22 hours ago

It can depend on your screen and the settings you like for the difference to be massively exaggerated. I upgraded to a really high pixel density 4K 27" monitor, and because it's so sharp and clear, with a fast response time I can really clearly see the frames, especially when I move the camera around in games. I never noticed frame rate differences much on my previous monitor because it blurred a little between movements because of the slower response time, and it was much less brighter and sharper.

by Anonymous 21 hours ago

There's no way you cant tell the almost 30ms per frame difference between 30 and 60fps. There has to be something with your display forcing it to run at 30hz.

by Anonymous 21 hours ago

Yeah, I'll often limit to 30fps when the option is available. I've never understood the fascination with framerate. I'm sure if i played competitively or played things like FPS, etc it'd be different.

by Anonymous 21 hours ago

i kiiiinda get it. i was sort of irritated about the 60fps too when i got my ps5 to the point i wasn't as focussed on the game itself. it got better after a week or so but i wouldn't prefer 30fps

by Anonymous 21 hours ago

You're just a normal person. When someone screams about FPS in games that aren't pvp it's just so they can brag about hardware or feel superior for "feeling" the difference.

by Anonymous 21 hours ago

Lol not at all, u just seem very insecure. What dumb logic

by Sedrick29 20 hours ago

That's not necessarily always the case. I personally get a really bad headache & my eyes hurt if I play a game below ~40fps so I kinda need 40+fps, ideally 60 for extra smoothness, anything beyond that I don't care about

by Anonymous 20 hours ago

Probably ragebait. In case it's not, I definitely do not have superiority complex, 60 fps is just magnitudes more immersive. What you just said is incredibly dumb.

by greysonkub 20 hours ago

One thing is to be like OP, where you prefer 30 FPS. That's still crazy, but at least OP feels the difference. But to tell me there's no difference between 30 and 60 FPS, that's just outright false, there's no way around it.

by Anonymous 20 hours ago

For me 30, 60 and 120 fps all feel extremely distinct.

by Anonymous 20 hours ago

I dont think pvp necessarily comes into it. I love having games at the 144fps mark (144hz monitor so I have it capped) for the smoothness. It becomes a little more immersive and easy to be drawn into the world you're in
