I don't think Skate 4 is necessarily a bad game but it just feels very small and soulless compared to the previous games. You can see almost all the map in probably under an hour. I think you're wrong about people not caring about skate culture as well. Plenty of people who grew up with it like me still care about it, and names like Tony Hawk and Rob Dyrdrek are still HUGE.

It is bad. It is basically gentrified skateboarding. The game is so safe and corporate in its presentation, it feels formulaic. There isn't even a single piece of skate culture in it.

I grew up playing the games, if you do a direct comparison skate 4 looks like a cheap indie knock off at best. Lost all of its smoothness and style he controls ridiculously awkwardly.

I didn't know kids didn't care about woodpushing anymore. That's cool. Maybe the woodpushers industry should get together and pick something more interesting and ballsy than what they do and call it gay? It worked for them in the past.

So, your greatest praise of the game is that it almost reaches the heights of skate 3? What does skate 4 have that skate 3 doesn't? Why is it so much to ask that any improvements be made since the last game?
