-32 Your parents become less older than you, proportionally, every year after you're born. amirite?

by Anonymous 1 day ago

Entropic controllers?

by Anonymous 1 day ago

And the only time they are twice your age is when you're as old as them when you were born.

by One-Temperature 1 day ago

Science, bitch!

by Anonymous 1 day ago

Yeah. My son turns half my age in November

by Alyssonberge 1 day ago

and every year they live is a smaller part of their lives, but inversely proportional instead

by Anonymous 1 day ago

isn't that the case for all living beings?

by Anonymous 1 day ago

Parent years are like dog years. A true fact.

by Then-Mind-1959 1 day ago

My mother died in 1997 and my father in 1984, so it's not something I need to think about very much.

by QuirkyStress 1 day ago

They actually remain the exact same amount of older.

by karlee36 1 day ago

Temporally yes but not as a ratio.

by Anonymous 1 day ago

That's not what OP is saying, and I think you know that

by Wunschamparo 1 day ago

I genuinely don't know what OP is saying because they worded it terribly

by Fantastic-Mention 1 day ago

Say you're 1 year old and your mother is 20. She has lived 20x the amount of time you lived. Now fast forward 20 years. You're now 21 and your mother is 41, that's not even double the amount of time you lived. Fast forward 20 more years. You're 41 and your mother is 61, that's only about 149% of the total amount of time that you've lived. In the span of 6 decades she would go from being 2000% older than you, to just 149%. Meaning she's much less older than you then she used to be.

by Anonymous 1 day ago

I was being hyperbolic, I actually did understand what OP meant. My point still remains that they worded it terribly.

by Fantastic-Mention 1 day ago

Proportionally is the key word here. Idk, I understood it easily the first time I read it.

by Anonymous 1 day ago

Good for you. It's still terribly worded.

by Fantastic-Mention 1 day ago

But the word "proportionally" does indeed have a meaning.

by Anonymous 1 day ago

This is how i feel with more of the population becoming increasingly younger than me

by Anonymous 1 day ago

It's happened only it's been a quarter year exchange.

by langwilly 1 day ago

My dad had me at 25. When I was 25, I wondered exactly how old he was, and I did the calculation. Turned out to be that very same day. Then I realized, from that day on I will never be less than half his age again. Mind blown.

by Anonymous 23 hours ago

Even more so after they die. I am getting close to the same age as my mom when she died (relatively young).

by Carmelo81 23 hours ago

And this is why when older you become faster the time seems to go

by Cayla16 23 hours ago

This is like that onion article "old man's son is also an old man"

by Klutzy_Bookkeeper_77 23 hours ago

My great grandfather was 100 and my grandad was 84. So he nearly caught up to him

by ynolan 22 hours ago

Until they die they are the same amount of older than you, and even then the years between your birth year and their birth years remain exactly the same.

by ScaredRip 22 hours ago

Do you see the word "proportionally" in the OP?

by Business_Resolve 22 hours ago

Key word, proportionally.
