Lots of people mistake it for regular ice cream, next time ya go grocery shopping, check the frozen aisle for those 4L tubs, they should say "ice milk" on the tid/label. Just bought some myself yesterday at the Safeway.

I make homemade ice milk all the time because it's easy, I have a Ninja Creami, and I don't feel like buying heavy cream. Tastes pretty much the same as ice cream imo, maybe slightly less rich and definitely more soft-servy. I don't think it is superior, if I had heavy cream around all the time like I do milk, I would make ice cream instead. But I don't think it's notably worse either. Honestly other than the consistency there's barely a notable difference to me (though maybe the differences are more pronounced for store bought).
