That's very dependent on location though, the further away from heavily populated areas you get the harder it becomes to find chargers.

I'm going to get a hybrid for my next car. I want better gas mileage than my old gas-only car, but I would not trust an electric car for a long road trip in the US. I have done 2000-mile road trips before. For me, it's about the dependability of knowing that I absolutely can fill that tank on a moment's notice, and that there's zero chance of getting stranded in Yeehawville.

Traffic slowdowns would actually improve your EV range. Battery issues? I don't think that would be any more common than an engine issue. I get they aren't for everyone though.
