What do you think Smash Ultimate is then? Mortal Kombat? Injustice? Hell what about Fortnite? With game crossovers its less about showing off owned properties and more about generating hype from as many fandoms as possible, the benefit often being that theres more incentive to actually do that IP justice otherwise that fandom won't buy in.

man it hasn't even come out yet, maybe chill a lil bit until it's actually available? Also, like. Ready Player One is a specific kind of cringe that is distinct from whatever cringe you feel for Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers. Assuming that this upcoming game is bad, it's unlikely to be all that comparable to either of them.
