+108 They always say "dance like nobody's watching" but I quite literally have always watched, amirite?

by FanSlow 2 days ago

"Dance like nobody's watching" already implies that somebody is watching. It's not "Dance, nobody is watching" it's "Dance LIKE nobody's watching.

This isn't an opinion...

They said unpopular onion, nothing about opinions... The thing about onions, onions have layers.

It's called "dance LIKE no one is watching" not "dance because no one is watching"

by Anonymous 2 days ago

This isn't an option And when they say "dance like nobody is watching" them mean that despite people clearly potentially watching, dance as if you're alone and don't care

I disagree, I don't think you are actually judging people.

My judgment is usually "this mf is vibing" or "this is performative"

This is why I hate the tiktok dance fever. It is extreme ‘look at me dance'.

"Dance as if somebody's watching, cause they are" 🎸🎶

by Anonymous 2 days ago

We don't care.

You missed the point. It isn't "Dance BECAUSE no one is watching". It's dance LIKE no one is watching. Very, very different.

because, I am watching, and judging Not only is the judging your problem not anyone else's, but also take a wild guess why it's said "like nobody's watching" .... Just take your time, I bet sooner or later you may understand - or so I hope.
