+127 The Green Bay Packers are the only professional sports team worth being a fan of, amirite?

by boylemoises 4 days ago

Bro. You are deciding what you like based on a logo? Feeding billionaire's children. And thinks he's a fan

by boylemoises 4 days ago

Ok. Have fun in the corn fields. Your team hates you

by boylemoises 4 days ago

There's many (at least several) publicly owned sports teams in the US. You're only looking at the NFL. There's a women's soccer team (Minnesota Aurora) owned by over 5,000 locals who each have a share in it.

by antoniobogisich 4 days ago

Ok. I support them too. But I've never heard of that league or team

by boylemoises 3 days ago

Branch out more then.

by Anonymous 3 days ago

I actually hate sports. They are a waste of time and energy to keep people stupid. So no thanks. But I get your point.

by boylemoises 3 days ago

The Packers are "owned" by the fans but they do not receive dividends, equity, or ticket privileges. You can't sell your shares. It's neat to say you own part of the team but it's worth about as much as buying a star or a plot of land in Scotland so you can say you're a lord.

by Hot-Tonight 3 days ago

What other team is like that?

by boylemoises 3 days ago

You're happy that they scam their fans?

by Due_Marionberry 3 days ago

They scam their fans less. That's what I'm saying

by boylemoises 3 days ago

Bro. Why would anyone care about Europe? Once you have your own military and culture, then you can talk.

by boylemoises 3 days ago

Lol. Lmao, even. European countries don't have culture or militaries? Did you go to school?

by Anonymous 3 days ago

Why would anyone care about Green Bay?

by Anonymous 3 days ago

They are publicly owned lol. Why don't you ask some of those "shareholders" how much of a voice they have in anything?

by Anonymous 3 days ago

More than any other team

by boylemoises 3 days ago

You mean the same. Exactly 0

by ChartTraditional139 3 days ago

I'm the one they are making the money from. So I am literally all they care about. You need a chill pill.

by ChartTraditional139 3 days ago

Well that's like your opinion, man

by HorrorPrestigious690 3 days ago

Go Pack Go !

by Anonymous 3 days ago

by Anonymous 3 days ago

Not unpopular, just stupid

by Wyatt92 3 days ago

Just feed the billionaires

by boylemoises 3 days ago

Yeah but they are the best of the trash

by boylemoises 3 days ago

theres plenty of teams in the world that are owned by the people lol you just only have knowledge of football

by pourosgreen 3 days ago

Why would anyone watch sports outside the USA? What's wrong with you

by boylemoises 3 days ago

FTP

by Lon23 3 days ago

he is immature and stupid. that much is evident.

by Royal-Fold3151 3 days ago

The Packers aren't underdogs. They're a small city, yes, but they also won the first two superbowls. Then again in the 90s. Then again in the 2010s. They're a dynasty from a small, scrappy, blue collar city, but they are not an underdog.

by Anonymous 3 days ago

Come on the Packers aren't an underdog. They have the most championships, the most playoff appearances, the most hall of fame quarterbacks, and the third best odds to win the Super Bowl this season.

by Different-Client 3 days ago

I have fun watching them though, what's wrong with that?

by Different-Client 3 days ago

say you are stupid without saying it.

by Royal-Fold3151 3 days ago

I'll raise you one more: no team is worth being a fan of. Players move around to whoever will pay them most, there is no loyalty, even in GB. Yall are cheering for grown men playing with a ball, in a league that has no problem with propping up men responsible for domestic violence but will blacklist a guy taking a knee for police violence. The NFL is a travesty

by Aromatic_Database_58 3 days ago

Homie just mad that Hawaii doesn't have a NFL team

by Sufficient_Egg 3 days ago

I doubt that the only 'worth being a fan of' KPI is to be publicly owned. (Just to be clear, I don't even know which sport the Green Bay Packers are in, so I am not biased).

by Anonymous 3 days ago

As a bitter, resentful, and miserable Bear fan whose watched the McCaskey family destroy the franchise and go out of their way to keep it awful for 35+ years... AND get to watch the Bears go 2-18 versus the Pack every decade... I would turn my attention to Europe and insist cheering for your soccer club is 100% worth it.

by dboehm 3 days ago

Really. I think caring about sports is bordering on mental illness. But if you do, at least support a publicly owned one. So yeah. If that European, cool.

by boylemoises 3 days ago

The relationship between fans and teams is more complicated than some kind of logical flow chart. Most people are fans of whatever team is closest.

by PositiveDry6780 3 days ago

This is exactly my point. Fans are stupid people and need to make better decisions. Sports are ridiculous. But at least if you are going to support a team, make it public and not some cash machine for billionaires .

by boylemoises 3 days ago

Reframe as only NFL team and this is just facts.

by gillian09 3 days ago

American pro team from the 4 major sports. Sure

by boylemoises 3 days ago

Many people have never heard of them. Australian rules Football fans and cricketers may mildly disagree.

by Anonymous 3 days ago

I'm talking about real sports though.

by boylemoises 3 days ago

Win or lose, after every major game, Philly fans burn their city to the ground. And I think that's beautiful.

by Anonymous 3 days ago

every other sports team is owned by a person Very very untrue

by Anonymous 3 days ago

Indiana guy here. Let's talk Indiana, basketball, and Pacers. They're more than just our local sports team. We kind of see them as repping small town basketball against the big guys. It's as much a state pride thing as it is about sports. Watch the movie Hoosiers and you'll understand. I'm not even a basketball fan lol

by quitzonbryce 3 days ago

hoosiers was fiction. just like your stupid take about people in indiana.

by Royal-Fold3151 3 days ago

Guess you never heard of the 50+1 rule that some leagues implement in soccer

by Sufficient_Egg 3 days ago

I haven't. What is it

by boylemoises 3 days ago

More common in Germany since fan culture is huge, but it prevents the teams being taken over completely by investors, while club members still have majority say

by Sufficient_Egg 3 days ago

Ok good. I support that. If the people don't have a stake in the team, it's crazy to support it

by boylemoises 3 days ago

Ok but it's any sport. All teams are owned by billionaires. Packers are publicly owned

by boylemoises 3 days ago

You know nothing of sport outside the US then clearly

by Anonymous 3 days ago

Sorry bro, why would anyone leave the USA? The land of god
