I mean there are probably... levels of that that are unhealthy. But the usual oh he/she's so great, I "love" him/her, watched every movie or so, that's fine.

I just always say my celebrity crush is Brad Pitt.

But what reason is there to tell them it only opens up the possibility of insecurities whether they are discussed openly or not. If this was something that carried genuine positives sure, but admitting to your (as an example) basic white boy boyfriend that you have a crush on a KPop boy is weird. Obviously even if all the other men you find attractive are Korean that doesn't mean you don't find him attractive, attraction doesn't work that way. But why risk him thinking that?

If you're also fine with them having a crush on Joe from their office. Or Becky from down the street, then it's fine. If not, It might even be worse than if you had a crush on someone you actually know. At the end of the day, celebrities are just people and you shouldn't put them on a pedestal.
