Their username is a reference to an old (and great) meme video. Not saying they don't also have a whole collection of stuffed animals.

Teddies are lingerie! ☺️
by larissa025 hours ago
You would call a stuffed bunny rabbit a teddy? I didn't know that I felt passionate about "teddies" being exclusively the bear stuffed animals until this moment.

How dare people call a cute child's toy a cute childlike name!
by Anonymous4 hours ago
I definitely called them stuffed animals when I was 5, but OP is also just a weirdo haha. They're also mad about tummy, as if parents must speak in Edwardian english to their children. "Pray, child, I must insist that you attend to your chamber; it is in a most unseemly state! Your stuffed animals and playthings are strewn about in a rather disorderly fashion."

Not fond of the word but do recall it being a common word for stuffed animals in 80s/90s too. Some people find it cute or fun to say I guess.

Mostly perverts from my understanding

I hate it, too!

In NY, only ever heard them called stuffies by adults trying to sound like children. Children call them plushes or stuffed animals.
by Anonymous3 hours ago
Right? I've only ever heard stuffie as a stuffed quahog.

"Cuddly toy" when I was a kid, 90s UK. Neither stuffed animal nor stuffie.

I've mostly heard plushie and stuffie, "cuddly toy" strikes me as a little extra even compared to those x,x
by Anonymous2 hours ago
Uk late 90s early 2000s we called them teddies.
by NoSwordfish23902 hours ago
I don't care either way
by Jumpy-Calendar97751 hour ago
Agreed. I loathe the terms "stuffie" and "plushie." It's a stuffed animal or plush toy
by spinkamarion1 hour ago
I mean when I hear stuffie I immediately think of stuffed quahogs. For stuffed animals I completely agree, but fortunately where I live everyone else also thinks "stuffie = stuffed quahog" so I rarely ever hear it being referred to as stuffed animals. At least in person I don't. If you don't want to use the full term "stuffed animal" then a plush is the only choice imo

I hate it too! It makes me think of that furries. 🤣

Nah, "stuffed animal" can mean either soft toys, or taxidermied dead animals, and I don't care for the association. There's gotta be a distinction. Either cute-ify the word into "stuffie," or use another word. These days I call them "plushies."
by Anonymous24 minutes ago
Facts. Plushies is the accepted term in society. A stuffed animal can very well be taxidermy.
