Travel photos look much better when there's people in them, amirite?

It totally depends on the photo. If you are in the middle of a city, of course there are people there. It would be weirder if there weren't. If you are out in nature though, it looks less special if there are a ton of people around. It just looks like you are in some spot meant for tourists and not really exploring. There are probably a bunch of amenities and a gift shop just out of view.

Very fair, I probably should have clarified I meant specifically for cities or towns

Weird. I took a bunch of fall foliage in the mountains photos and my uncle was genuinely upset because no one was in the photos. Do you not appreciate beauty?

The best nature pictures are without people, the world can be breath-taking if we allow it to be.

I disagree. I like travel photography for the buildings and the scenery. Not the fat slob stood in the way

My college professor used her vacation photos as a teaching aid in history class. People often make others sit through their vacation photos. Avoiding vacation slide shows is an old joke. Feels like a normal thing to have an opinion on.
