+48 people hate the concept of minding their own business, amirite?

by kyleigh66 10 hours ago

Hey bud - mind your own business.

by Johnslucius 10 hours ago

I agree with the title but not the reasoning. Your reasons are a guess

by Next_Fix 9 hours ago

Yeah this is weirdly specific

by Anonymous 9 hours ago

As long as you DONT get involved; that's all that matters.

by ComprehensiveOil 9 hours ago

Some random told OP's SO they were stepping out on them

by Anonymous 8 hours ago

part of it is that the internet tends to be a place for socially awkward and nonconfrontational people to play out their fantasies of confronting people

by Ill_Wolverine 8 hours ago

There are no "real" people on the internet. It skews everyone's behavior

by Katelinjones 7 hours ago

Different if someone (especially children) are being harmed/hurt. Otherwise; stay out of other people's business.

by ComprehensiveOil 7 hours ago

It would change it wtf. It would allow the person to make an informed decision. A loot of people would leave if they found out they got cheated on, so it really would change the situation.

by Commercial-Row-2212 7 hours ago

As with just about every popular phrase/saying/etc. that this board complains about, this advice is situational and not meant to apply to literally every single human experience imaginable.

by Anonymous 7 hours ago

Sounds like you're having an affair or doing something you shouldn't be

by OkBad9903 7 hours ago

Hey mind your own business

by Anonymous 6 hours ago

Lol nah, there's nothing enlightened about cheating on your partner or apathy

by Sensitive-Finger 6 hours ago

It seems some people get surprised or even irritated by me when I say something like "that's none of my business" or "I want to respect personal boundaries so I don't need to know about _____" because it's like they have a bad itch to gossip and only I can scratch it for them. They aren't used to being told "no." In my mind I'm trying to treat others the way I want to be treated and avoid doing any triangulation in conflicts, and I believe if someone gossips or speaks badly about everyone else, they probably talk about you too...

by Sageblock 6 hours ago

I agree with the title, idk about what your description is but I believe 💯 that more people need to seriously mind their own business

by Anonymous 5 hours ago

Think you're overestimating the number of people who have had the same life experiences as you

by Sensitive-Finger 5 hours ago

OP gave a strawman example. Meddling =/= doing good

by Anonymous 5 hours ago

i don't understand what your point is here, are you saying saving people from a literal fire is meddling therefore meddling is always good or? i feel like you just wanted to tell the fire story lowkey

by Anonymous 5 hours ago

If people would mind their own business, most of the political spectrum would collapse.

by Anonymous 4 hours ago

Good

by Winter-Use-4312 4 hours ago

probably a good story there.

by Final_Ambition_7016 4 hours ago

I disagree, sorry you got caught cheating on your wife though.

by skilesthelma 3 hours ago

i did not. im sorry you are wrong for you assumption.

by kyleigh66 3 hours ago

Sorry I assumed you're attractive enough to cheat on someone, obviously you were the one cheated on.

by skilesthelma 3 hours ago

Yeah, mostly it's that we're convinced we're right and like telling others so.

by Common-Composer307 3 hours ago

this might be the answer. its not about telling them, its about the person feeding their own egos of being a self righteous person

by kyleigh66 3 hours ago

No we dont

by Anonymous 3 hours ago

There's nothing wrong with calling out bad behavior. Sorry if that sucks, but that's just life.

by Adelbertschultz 2 hours ago

Why are you so obsessed with cheating?

by Anonymous 2 hours ago

Humans are social creatures. We can't help ourselves but get involved in the lives of people around us. That's why social media makes people lonely and depressed
