People who enjoy watching videos of kids getting hurt are strange. amirite?

For me it depends. Cause I won't lie - it is kinda funny when kids and animals just trip or just fall but they aren't injured.

There's an Instagram video of this little kid trying to pretend he's Flash, and when he runs, he trips and starts crying. It's one of the funniest videos I've ever seen. Why? Because I have kids. I know that fall didn't cause any injury, he just cried because he's not much older than a toddler.

Yeah I do feel a little sad when they cry, but if their pain can be soothed with an "Awwee it's okay" then I don't think it is too strange to laugh at... Cause it is kinda funny. Someone else's pain is a comedy. Esp when their pain is just a result of physics and they aren't actually injured. For me, I only find it strange when people enjoy the kids being like... hurt. As in like, injured or distressed.

Kids cry when they can't have a cup of ketchup for dinner. Crying is not an indicator of if it's funny for me. It's about the specifics. Is the kid injured or just embarrassed?

If a kid is actually hurt, no it's not funny. Those videos are usually funny because the kid is completely fine and kids pause for a minute before dramatically overreacting to get a reaction from someone else. It's similar to the videos on social media of women pretending to stab their boyfriend/husband with a prop knife and the man freaks out like he's dying.

I dunno, I saw a kid must have been 3 or 4 drop his ice cream on the floor the other day. Looked down and just carried on looking down as he fell straight forward. Absolutely made my day.

It's hilarious 😂 not because we are bad people but by nature we tend to laugh at irony, or when things tend to be done incorrectly causing the consequence, ie kids 😂. Of course it sucks that the kid or person is hurt or possibly injured. But, I would bet people are not laughing at the person and or pain, but rather at how it looks, sounded, and abnormal bodily movements. It's all definitely circumstantial

Little kids getting injured is obviously not cool. But if a kid does something truly idiotic that "hurts" but I know will do no lasting harm, that can absolutely be hilarious.
