+139 Dear ABC Family, why do you feel the need to play Harry Potter during the 25 Days Til Christmas every year? It's not a Christmas movie. amirite?

But it's Harry Potter!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hogwarts celebrates Christmas too!

they needed a series of movies the whole family could watch together that would take up a lot of what would've been empty space

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Exactly. Very few families will watch cheesy christmas movies together without at least one member of the family sneaking away. Harry Potter? Everyone stares at the screen until the end of the ending credits. *Nods wisely*

Harry Potter is appropriate for anytime of the year.

I remember once, they played Harry Potter during 4th of July weekend. During the commercials they said "to celebrate America"... With a British film...

I like harry potter so i dont really mind it, but abc finds every excuse to play a harry potter marathon just like usa w/ law and order.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

XD So true, but I love that show.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

same here

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I love when they have Harry Potter marathons. Any time of the year is perfect for one of those marathons

by Anonymous 13 years ago

theres always christmas in the films, & it's a good family movie.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Why do they also play the incredibles and cars? Neither of them are Christmas movies.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I love when they show those, it gets me in the mood for some hot coco, lol. And besides, most of the time Hogwarts is all snowy n' such, therefore seems more Christmas-like.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Uhhh, during Harry Potter, it's Christmastime, so they have every reason to play it. Just because it's not all about Santa and Rudolph.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

But Harry Potter lifts peoples' spirits no matter what time of the year!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I for one would rather see anything BUT a christmas movie at Yuletide.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ANY time is potter time!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I agree,Harry Potter is pretty awesome, but just because it's Christmastime during part of the movie doesn't make it a Christmas movie. And no,Cars and The Incredibles aren't Christmas movies either. Which is why I now do my best to avoid ABC Family during the 25 Days of Christmas and 13 Nights of Halloween. They play irrelevant movies that have nothing to do with the upcoming holiday. And there would not be dead air time if they played good relevant movies like they did back in the day when we (assuming we're all in our teens) were little. And that's the truth.
