Even though you cannot describe the TASTE of water, you can totally tell when you go to a restaurant and it's tap water... which you notice, BY THE TASTE, because you are all, "this water tastes funny"... amirite?

Except when you live in British Columbia... where tap water tastes exactly like bottled water. And it's all delicious. But I totally get what you mean, whenever I travel somewhere I'll get thirsty, grab a cup of water, and then nearly choke to death because I forgot that tap water in most places is gross.

Same in Louisville, Kentucky. I feel spoiled, anytime I leave town, I can't stand the different water tastes.

Tap water, in most large cities in the Western hemisphere, is better than bottled water. Not just in taste, but in health. Our federal government spends billions of dollars on cleaning our tap water every year. Bottled water has fecal matter and other unhealthy microbes swimming around in it...
