I'm watching cardio twister right now, in case anyone is wondering... The woman's over excitement is seriously creeping me out.

Yes it was. The post was obviously meant to be prejudiced against hermaphrodites.

Although it is kinda set by society, every person has an individual preference for a partner's personality. One might consider a quiet person "good", another a loud person. One person might think people who speak their minds are the ideal, another person might think people who only speak politely to be the best.

And, people can more or less change. If you're constantly told you're rude, maybe then putting up a defensive of "That's just me, if you don't like it, **** you", a person could review how they act and think.

Good looks are also set by society, although different people have different preferences. So I don't understand why it is better to like someone for their personality.

And although you can change the way you act, you can't change who you are. At least not when you're an adult.

Hmmm. This post does make me think, so it is a good one. Especially how it points how that looks are considered superficial, then why isn't personality?

How about this: look can fade, but personality more or less doesn't? And personality is considered to be "more" of who the actual person is than their appearance?

Also, I do disagree that you can't change who you are. Self-improvement, self-realisation and soul-searching should be for anyone, regardless of age.

I guess you're right... I mean, you are your personality, not your looks.

I was just thinking this because you can't chose your looks, and you can't chose your personality. It's not like you say, "Oh, I want to be 20% outgoing, 10% serious, ...", your personality just forms without you realizing it. So I still think that you can't change your personality, but you convinced me with the first thing.

I guess I'll change my vote to NW!

Lol, you shouldn't change your vote, I do think this was a good post for the discussion purposes, I just didn't really agree with it.

But, yeah, in the sense the body and soul are related, appearance is a part of you, just not as large as personality. I'm not talking about having a large nose, or anything, but how you cut your hair is a reflection of how you wanted to look like. Your level of grooming, whether it be none, whether it be basic soap and toothpaste each day, whether you put a bit more into it, or whether you put layer of make-up on - that part of your appearance does reflect a bit about you.

And, with personality changes, I'm not talking right off the bat. I'm thinking about reviewing who are you - do you like the person you are? Would you want to be friends with you? And, maybe gradually do a bit. Just if you wanted to physcially improve by exercising a bit more and changing your eating habits, you can slowly break out of "personality cycles".

I changed my vote because you changed my mind. I tend to not take into consideration every side of things and as a result I jump to conclusions faster than I should.

As for the personality changes, I'm think I have a different definition of personality. I would explain but I'm far to sleepy and should be going to bed.

I'm sure most of the other species are just insignificant little insects. I'm not particularly interested in scientists discovering the second cousin of the common flea.

What if the second cousin of the common flea produces some kind of substance that could benefit mankind greatly? You never know.

there are some underachievers there. There's also smart people who want to save like 50% on their required courses. BTW, a lot of rich, spoiled, and lazy people go to "good" colleges too

Gonna take a wild guess and say that you need, at some point, to possess marijuana in order to smoke it.

That sounds like something a main character of a movie would say in the beginning of movie, when they talk to us, kind of introducing the story. He/she would also say it again at the end, were that the case.

The less bright it gets, the more likely it is that a serial killer is hiding under your bed. Inverse proportionality.

I know how it would go for me. In the beginning I'd be all, I'll save the world from hunger, there will be peace everywhere. "Rainbows and sunshines for everyone". But then, I'd do something wrong and people would be like "you suck!!!", so I'd say "I was just trying to help you! Well, now that you said that, not anymore. Evil dictatorship for everyone!!!". yeah... that's definitely what would happen.
