A picture might be worth a thousand words but how can we be sure when viewing art that what we see is what the maker was aiming for? I think all art is left open to view as you wish, part of the fun is trying to figure out what the artist wants you to view it as & if you can.

Have you ever seen a so-called art masterpiece you just couldn't understand? Jackson Pollock strikes me this way. If I got up on top of a ladder and drizzled paint onto a canvas, wonder who would pay me a million dollars for it?

We went shopping at several national chain hobby stores today trying to pick out some presents for the kids in the family. Is it just me, or does everything look cheap, assembly-line produced, and geared toward a project you would not have in your own house? It's also priced high to boot.
