TommyUK1234: Well, I agree that I shouldn't (and really, I can't) say who 'real muslims' are.

reddead: There is a difference though, changing the rules in a religion entirely is different than modifying the rules to fit in current day situation. For example: A thousand years ago, Muslims that were traveling during through the desert in caravans during Ramadan were allowed to not fast on those days, as long as they made it up later. Today, the same thing applies to Muslims that are travelling on airplanes

Well, the thing about Islam is that it has stayed that way since it first was revealed over 1000 years ago. Call us old-fashioned, but since it was the final revelation, people can't change them as they please, we have to stick to these laws if we want to please God. It's alright if you think their strict or whatnot, but to a true Muslim, you can't choose what to follow in Islam and what not to follow. People find peace in religions anyways, and Muslims accept what God wills and find guidance in his words, like how people find guidance in their religions.
Personally, I try to respect all religions and I like hearing people's opinions on them.

I can't agree more, it even happend to me the other day; when the teacher caught my group off topic, she was practically fuming (everyone else was zoning out too), but when I answered all the questions correctly, she was clearly surprised and I was just sitting there looking smug innocent, it felt good.

This ridiculously lucky guy had a similar experience; he got a celebrity's old number, so all these celebrities started calling him, and he even got to go to Paris Hilton's birthday party by saying to add his and his wife's names on the list when they mistakenly got the invitation...lucky ****.

Well, randomnly, sometimes my older sister provokes me by poking me, and when I poke back she defends herself...basically this ends in a full out kickboxing match, with us kicking and punching each other. Ah, I love my sister.

I don't the message should be 'don't judge a religion by the bad people' but 'don't judge a religion by who the minority is'. Obviously, if a religion is mainly full of extremists, then people are going to judge the religion in that way - and I wouldn't blame them.

But see, if a religion is full of extremists, then that is not a religion, that's a cult. You did understand the message I was trying to send about not judging a religion on its minority, who could be giving that religion a bad or simply inaccurate image.

Nahh, I wouldn't live there all the time, I would only go there for vacation or a honeymoon or something, living there would probably ruin the experience.

You gotta wonder who actually buys the clothes at fashion shows, amirite?

The outfits on the runway are overly dramatic; their only purpose is to make an impact on potential distributors and consumers. No one actually considers wearing them as they are. That's why, if the runway versions go over well enough, the designers alter the designs and make them far less drastic for everyday use. They'll usually sell the pieces separately as well, so they don't look as costumey as the first example (the three main articles would each look decent and make sense without the other two). Which is why you never actually see this kind of shit on the racks. It's been made more subtle.

Your exactly right, the real point of the fashion shows is also to show designers what kind of style and clothes are 'in' for the season.

I have a friend with the same name as me, and this girl turns out to be the same nationality as me, she was born on the same month as me, her brother is the same age as mine, and we were wearing extremely similar outfits when we first met (white t-shirts with a blue mini-skirt and tights under...don't ask how I remember). Other than that, we also have similar likes in music and style. The more I got to know her, the more awesome she got.

Well, it depends what you want, and also who's performance you going to.
For example, if you want to hear an artist for their great live voice, Katy Perry might not be your first choice.

I swear. I remember when my friend first introduced me to the Fred videos in 5th grade, she thought he was hilarious, and I didn't want to be mean, so I kinda laughed, and later I watched a bunch of his videos thinking that they would be funny. I finally concluded that the guy was mentally retarded and left.

I noticed in books and movies how the parents say 'we've decided to have a baby', so I assumed the parents would sit around a table discussing it, and when they've decided, the woman magically becomes pregnant.

This "friend" **** that I know invites loads of people for her birthday just to get present; how do I know? She personally goes after whoever isn't going for a present, trust me, I have experienced it every year for the last 4 yrs, it usually goes something like this:
Girl: Heyy, your invited to my birthday!!!! Can you come?
Me: Er, I can't, sorry but I'm leaving during Spring Break (when her b-day is)
Girl:...Oh that sucks ):.....But hey, can I get a present?
Me: Um, I'm not gonna be there
Girl: I know, just get me something like 50 dollars, or designer perfume, that's all!
Me: Sure *End up avoiding her for the next month til she gives up*
