The true beauty of a self-inquiring sentient universe is lost on those who elect to walk the intellectually vacuous path of comfortable paranoid fantasies.
My favourite books, TV, music, movies and food.
Anything by Brandon Sanderson - the man is a genius. The Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss is amazing, and you should most definitely check it out. Brent Weeks is a must read too, though I recommend staying away from the Night Angel trilogy. Jacqueline Carey, George R.R. Martin, Steve Saylor. I'm a bit of a fantasy nerd.
The coolest places I've visited.
Definitely Japan, though I feel as though I didn't get as much out of the experience as I could have.
In my free time I like to...
Read. I love reading. Reading is fun. Why aren't you reading? You should read.

See, the thing is, at the point of pregnancy in which the vast majority of abortions take place, these things simply do not occur. There is no nervous system, the 'brain', such that it is, is little more than a few hundred cells. Legs haven't formed, and often the vestigial tail is still present. Calling the amalgation of cells that constitute a fetus a baby just makes no sense, and the use of emotionally charged language anti-abortionists, like another pointed out, seriously undermines the credibility of the argument. http://data.amirite.com/user_images/517cebf599268.jpg That is a picture of a blastocyst (I'm not sure if it appears correctly; I haven't been here in years), which forms around five days after conception. To call such a thing a baby, I feel, is not only factually incorrect but horribly insensitive. If you want to talk of splitting hairs, show this picture to any average joe and ask if they would consider it a real, living, human being. I find that putting the rights of an unborn fetus above that of an expectant woman, with her social ties and obligations, hopes and aspirations, dreams, mistakes, regrets, failures and so on is degrading to the woman and reeks of an old-timey misogynism that really has no place in 21st century America, where we are supposedly all equal.
