Actually, it does. Have you never read the Bible? The WHOLE Bible? "No one came come to the Father except through Me." is what Jesus said. Jesus is a part of the Trinity, so He is God. That's what's so special about Jesus. He's 100% human and 100% God. I know that doesn't make sense. But if we could understand Him completely, would He be God? No.

I've personally never had to read the parts with swear words, so I haven't had to deal with it. But I go to a private Christian school and the other day one kid volunteered to read and then noticed his part had a swear word and he goes, "Am I allowed to read the swear words?" and the teacher nods and one kid goes, "Just let it out!!" So I think it depends on the school, situation, teacher, AND of course the kid who's reading..

They need to be taught about the diseases and all that happens. Men have multiple wives there and even though they have all those wives, they still go and fool around with other women because men are THE BOSSES there. I'm not just making this up, I've lived there since February of 2005.

By the way, I applaud you for your leaving it up to God to judge. Also, I am unsure of whether or not you believe gays are going to hell. You said you think it is a sin, but that you don't say they should go to hell. I just want clarification.

I believe that yes, if a homosexual is not a Christian then they are going to hell. All sinners go to hell if they're not saved.

Leviticus was written for the Israelites as a way to show them that they cannot be "good." They can try and try as best they can to follow laws, but they cannot save themselves. It was an old covenant. There are several covenants in the Bible that God made with His people. Some are conditional, others are not. The Leviticus covenant is an example of a conditional covenant.
In 1 Timothy, where it says women should not teach men, that is applicable. Women should not teach men, yet some denominations, etc. think it's okay. The church isn't perfect because it's taken care of by humans, who aren't perfect.
There had to be incest because there were no other humans. God created Adam and Eve with all the genes that we find in humans and so there was no risk of genetic mutations, etc. And polygamy, that was part of the Old Testament culture. The New Testament says that a man must have one wife. The things I'm telling you about the New Testament are part of the new covenant.

First off, I want to make it clear that I want to have a debate NOT an argument. I would be very pleased if everyone can state their opinions as truthfully as possible while being as constructive as possible.

So then how was sin created...I'm honestly just wondering. Sin had to come from somewhere.

Also, if God created everything that exists how was God created?

Now, I can understand saying that children are self-centered, but babies? I do not believe that babies are self-centered the very moment they are conceived--when they are conceived they are an egg, they have no brain power,no reasoning, hence they cannot think, have any notion of being self-centered.

On a side note I was raised Christian but now consider myself more of Agnostic. I cannot get around some of the things in the bible, personally.

buddyred23, what is your take on homosexuality do you think they can go to heaven even if they act upon their homosexual feelings?

I want to discuss/debate not freak out at eachother

I believe the Bible and it clearly says homosexuality is wrong. I don't hate homosexuals and I'm not a homophobe and I don't say they "should all go to hell." However, I disagree with their lifestyle because it's sinful. There are some homosexuals that I've heard of who say that they're Christian and I have no grounds to judge whether someone's a Christian or not. That's God's job. But the Christian homosexuals interpret the Bible in a way that makes it seem to them that it's not a sin and that it's okay what they're doing. If you don't believe the Bible, I'm not going to expect you to agree with me on the controversial things like that and I'm not going to hold you to live like Christians are expected to live. That is IF you don't believe the Bible, and it's pretty clear that you don't.

I want to discuss as well, not argue and have it become a name-calling session.

"He created humans without sin but with free will. Once Adam and Eve sinned"
Erm, if sin had not been created then how did Adam and Eve sin?

"Being born of a virgin was so He could be born pure and perfect without sin."
So...if your mom and dad had **** and created you intentionally well whoops. I guess your inherently sinful even though you are a baby just popped out of your mom. You've done so many bad things already.

"He did NOT kill himself"
Well, apparently God is omnipotent and all-knowing, hence, if he knew that what he was going to do would get him killed--he did in fact kill himself.

The rest is legit. Just pointing out the flaws.

God didn't create sin. Satan used to be an angel, if you didn't know that. He was a high angel. God created angels with free will too. So they could choose to follow God or not. Satan, who used to be named Lucifer, chose not to. He wanted to be equal to God and tried to. He led a rebellion and was thrown out of heaven with the angels that followed him in not obeying God. So Adam and Eve were tempted by Satan and acted on this temptation. Yeah, exactly. All humans have sin from the moment of conception. Babies are self-centered from the moment they're concieved. They have to be taught and raised to be good. You might not have DONE anything yet, but you have the sin nature in you and you will act on it because it's your nature. God is omnipotent and omniscient. He knew everything that would happen. It's an interesting argument that He "killed Himself." He let Himself be killed. He didn't want to go through the pain, as a human. But He knew it had to be done.

Okay, God did NOT create humans with sin. Humans didn't sin until satan tempted Eve and she CHOSE to disobey God and eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. He created humans without sin but with free will. Once Adam and Eve sinned, God sent them out of the garden and guarded it so they couldn't eat from the tree of life. This is so we don't live forever with sin. He had to sacrifice Himself because He's the only one without sin. Being born of a virgin was so He could be born pure and perfect without sin. He did NOT kill Himself. He lived a perfect life and taught truth and salvation. The religious leaders of the day were angry with Him. He did absolutely nothing wrong, but they still killed Him in the way that was, at the time, saved for the worst criminals. Because He is so pure and holy and just, He cannot have sin in His presence. However, He loves us because we are His creation. Therefore, He created a way for us to be with Him again.

Not everybody gets depressed, but lot of people do. Almost everyone has been depressed at least once in their life. It's a real and serious issue though. If it were just somebody being selfish, they would get over it easily and quickly. But it's not like that. It's just like Reality (below) said. It's oftentimes a chemical imbalance in the brain that causes it.
