I guess that could be interpreted either way. Cause you could be saying that Asian people are smart, but you could also be implying that Asian people have no lives and they're too preoccupied with school. I tend to believe the first one.

It's called positive discrimination. Ironically, it does more bad than good in a ridiculously meta way. Once the positive stereotype is called, the average racist(no manner the level of racism) will hate it even more, because they feel discriminated(irony!). E.G. Gypsies are good at music. Positive stereotype is enforced, usually to point out that they also do good things. Then the average gypsy hater will end up hating the music for being gypsy music, and whenever they hear it it gets even worse.
