+458 There's something inexplicably sad about seeing a balloon float away, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's not inexplicable, your sad because your freaking balloon just flew away dumb ass.

I guess it's not really inexplicable, that just sounds more poetic. Watching a balloon fly away is sad because yes, you lost your balloon, but also because it's sad seeing something innocent like a balloon so far away and alone. But that's just me. :)

ok, if you’re here dude who commented why did you search up this in the first place, just to say a bad word. That’s rude. Yes I agree with you, it is sad to watch a balloon fly away :)

When I was little, I started crying when I accidentally let go of my balloon and it went to the roof of the supermarket. They tried to get it using a ladder, but they couldn't so they gave me a free Kit-Kat to negate the emotional pain.

"negate" nice LOL to dull the pain? hahas

On the last day of 6th grade, our teachers have each of us a balloon and we all let them go at the same time... It was like watching 100 childhoods flying away.

Recently, for me at least, balloons floating away has been due to a balloon release in someone's memory. Yeah, there is definitely something sad about it. It's truly a beautiful way to honor a kid, too.

Equally sad: a fallen ice cream cone. I literally almost start crying if I see a little kid drop their ice cream cone.
