-5"Nothing is free" is prophetic. If you think you are living free, living in America with your right to speech and your fancy guns, think again. You are no more living free than those detained in gulags, prisons and workcamps.

+6Old Man Story Chapter1 “I went to Columbia University. I graduated as a Jounalist. I was top of my class. I loved writing. Though it was more than that. I loved having people read what I wrote. I tried a couple Newspapers. Neither hiring. I decided to go Freelance. I wanted to reach people with my thoughts. My life Changed in 1982 when a story I wrote got picked up by a small town paper. A small little back woods town in Missouri paid me 28$ for an article I wrote on gang violence. In a town that had no gang violence. I’ve fought and strived my whole life living right at the poverty line. People were meant to read my stories. There was one time I wrote about an antique watch that was dug up in a town called Nixa. It was auctioned off for Two hundred and fifty thousand dollars. Everything I’ve ever written. All my true to heart articles. None of them came close. Every local newspaper picked up on my “Watch Story”. It was a good Christmas. But it wasn’t what I wanted them to read. I suppose you could call me retired now. I live off of welfare, food stamps and the meager royalty’s of what I’ve written in the past. My son brought me a computer the other day. I had always worked on an old typewriter. I then learned about “ social media”. So I wrote an article on a website. It got 100,000 views. The next one got 650,000 views. More people reading what I wrote than anytime in my life. The one I wrote last night is going to hit 1 million views. So is the video of the cat playing jump rope. Everything I’ve worked for and hoped for my whole life, was handed to me for free. It doesn’t make me happy. It leaves me empty.” Be careful what you wish for.
+9Hundreds of thousands of Rohingya men, women, and children have suffered under a systematic campaign of mass shootings, rapes, house burnings, and beheadings. Myanmar (Burma) produces over 95% of the world’s rubies and quality jade. The military controls every gem mine, and gem auction while the government profits handsomely. Cartier, for one buys and sells Burmese gems. Tiffany & Co. has maintained its boycott. If you are planning on buying jewels this season ask before you buy. Buy only conflict free gems. Do not support this bloody regime.
The Telephone Call I was preparing lunch for my granddaughter when the phone rang. “If you can answer one question,” a young man said, “you’ll win ten free dance lessons.” Before I could tell him I was not interested, he continued. “You’ll be a lucky winner if you can tell me what Alexander Graham Bell invented.” “I don’t know,” I replied dryly, trying to discourage him. “What are you holding in your hand right now?” he asked excitedly. “A bologna sandwich.” “Congratulations!” he shrieked. “And for having such a great sense of humor…” Link: https://www.rd.com/joke/the-telephone-call-joke/
0Ploughing the land ? A husband and wife were driving down a country lane on their way to visit some friends. They came to a muddy patch in the road and the car became bogged. After a few minutes of trying to get the car out by themselves, they saw a young farmer coming down the lane, driving some oxen before him. The farmer stopped when he saw the couple in trouble and offered to pull the car out of the mud for $50. The husband accepted and minutes later the car was free. The farmer turned to the husband and said, "You know, you're the tenth car I've helped out of the mud today." The husband looks around at the fields incredulously and asks the farmer, "When do you have time to plough your land? At night?" "No," the young farmer replied seriously, "Night is when I put the water in the hole." Link: http://www.ahajokes.com/farm018.html
0The "Once Upon A Time" Story Game...beginning with this classic phrase add 4 words, the next person adds 4 words and so on. Theoretically, we will end with an epic, seamless and grammatically correct story. Or not. ~) More
I can get free shipping on a $3 phone case from China, but to ship the same item within my country costs $10 or more. How is that possible? I mean, people buy a lot of stuff online these days, that difference in shipping cost has huge implications for the competitiveness of domestic online retail. More

+5By accepting the gun lobby’s bribes and lies this government has become complacent in the destruction of our lives. By pushing its own agenda to curb freedom of press and stifle the free expression of our athletes and our spokespeople it has become destructive of our liberty. We hold these truths to be self-evident that when any Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right and Duty of the People to alter or to abolish it. Impeach Trump before it is too late.
