Seeing old, innocent people get killed in movies is horrible, amirite?

What's the difference between them and other innocent people? Just age?

Movies like Inception are great if you see it with someone in your group that thinks on the same level as you do,but if you see it with one of the "dumber" kids in your group, you kinda wanna kill yourself, amirite?

Meh - overrated movie. I understood it, just didn't care for it.

Back-to-School clothing commercials are torture for those of us with uniforms, amirite?

Only if your priorities are out of order.

The words "healthy" and "holiday recipe" do no belong in the same sentence, amirite?

You can always switch stuff out and not lose flavor...

The biggest incentive to get a job is the fact you will finally be able to go some place that says 'Staff Only', amirite?

I like the paycheck and the employee discounts.

The "Employees Only" doors are good for when you want to get the hell away from customers. Heh.

Only if by "different" and "original," you're not referring to clique-based self-identity that a lot of "different" and "original" people follow.

"Buy one get one free" really translates to "Buy one for the price of two and get one free", amirite?
The customer is NOT always right. Your parents/siblings/best friends aren't always right and, as much as you hate to admit it, you are not always right. So why should anyone assume the customer is always right? What about that customer who is bigoted, abusive, and rude? What about the customer who has the heart of a thief, attempting to take advantage at every turn? amirite?
@Black_No_1 It's not meant to be literally true, only that you must act as such regardless of whether they are actually right...

I know it's not meant to be literally true - but a lot of customers think it is. Especially the scammers - we get a lot of those who throw fits and cheapskate women who raise a stink because they don't think 50% off is enough. Or the ones who don't READ the signs in the store correctly, don't READ the fine print on coupons, who bring back returns AFTER the 60 day period and expect a refund instead of a store credit (their poor planning is not our fault), etc.

Or the ones who bitch that we're out of a seasonal item that we'd been selling for months, but they decided until the last minute to come buy some and that we should credit them somehow. Idiots.

I could go on and on. This is a daily thing.

teachers can't say high school is the best time of your life.for some people, it isn't, amirite?

I'm glad high school is over for me. College was waaay better.

And now I'm glad college is over, too. Ha.

@WoahElle What if it's the opposite? What if the employee is rude and disrespectful?

Do you read?

My post says "The customer is NOT always right." I used the word "always," meaning that sometimes they are right, and sometimes it's the employee's fault.

People say, "Oh wow. The 50's didn't have internet! It must have sucked!" But when you think about it, they wouldn't have known about internet, therefore, they wouldn't be missing out on anything, amirite?

Well, we don't currently have a cure for cancer, rarely solve anything without political bickering and fallout, etc., so I guess nobody is missing out on those, either.

There is some sort of corporation/company (ex. Pixar, Google, etc.) that you absolutely adore in spite of your instincts telling you not to trust any massively wealthy faceless organization, amirite?

Uh, even a small and/or non-profit organization can be bad, not only a "massively wealthy faceless organization."

There is no such thing as Channel 1, amirite?

My middle school forced us to watch Channel 1 in homeroom. It was such bullshit, and I hated every minute of it.
If that wasn't bad enough, my homeroom teacher made us write a summary of what happened after each episode. I wanted to leap out of the class window. Ha.

JFK and Bill Clinton had affairs while they were in office and it wasn't that big of a deal, but if Obama were to have an affair, the world would turn upside down, amirite?

Not really. I think everyone would try to make excuses for Obama rather than hold him accountable for his actions...kind of like the way things are now.
