It's also the anniversary of the Columbine shooting.
It wasn't really skillfully written into the story. Unless the reader is too stupid to notice, he/she has that theme forced down their throat over and over again throughout the series.
It looks to me like you're using Google Translate to make these sentences from some other language. Here's a tip: Google Translate sucks for complete sentences, use it for just a few words. Even then it sometimes can't get it right.
I've read in at least three different places that in certain Native American tribes, it's traditional for a parent to name a child for the first thing seen outside after giving birth. Ex: Sitting Bull.
Doesn't mean that people don't like when they do that. :P
(Anonymous):Or at all.
Everyone is saying that she needed her wand. She and James were fully aware that Voldemort was pursuing them. You'd think somebody who has the most powerful Dark Wizard ever known going after them would be smart enough to keep their wands on them at all times, even when at home.
People generally tend to think that our generation DID fuck up. And if you think about it, they're kind of right. People getting pregnant at 13 - 16 years old and getting an abortion without even thinking about it, or shooting up an entire school just because the students make fun of you didn't really happen with previous generations.
Try that comment again after taking a few English classes, please...
I have no problem being proven wrong. If you're proven wrong, it's just one more thing that you've learned.
I remember hearing something like that in Sociology last year. It was a bit different, though. The teacher gave us a scenario where your child, spouse, and one of your parents are all drowning, and you can only save one. He said that most people around the world would choose their parent. It wasn't because of the attachment they had to them, but because they have the wisdom of an older generation. If parents aren't included though, I'd probably choose my kid. It's easy to remarry, but any number of things could go wrong when trying to have another child. And even if you have another child, what's keeping it from developing some sort of life-threatening illness, or being born physically/mentally disabled? At least if I remarry, I'll know what I'm getting beforehand.
How does not owning older games make me sexually attracted to individuals of the same gender? Or were you being an ignorant asswipe and using gay as a synonym for stupid like 99% of the idiots on the internet?
The waves aren't sound waves if there's nothing to interpret them in such a way. If absolutely nothing is around to hear it, the waves that are produced are merely longitudinal waves that travel through the air until they dissipate.
After all of the horcruxes had been destroyed, Avada Kedavra would have been a quick and easy way to kill Voldemort. That would make Harry's life easier because he wouldn't have to test his skill against Voldemort. He'd just have to either disarm him or catch him off guard.
I wouldn't just have to boil my hand, I'd have to cut it off.
