We've been told that rape and sexual assault/harassment is about CONTROL & POWER. I have known and read about some women, usually the same ones over and over, revealing their countless tales about being raped, sexually assaulted, and/or harassed many times. Yet other women in the work place have never been such. Why is that?

I think it usually is about control and power. I doubt if the numerous elderly women who have been sexually assaulted, thought they were "hot".

ME TOO!! I was sexually harassed and abused by Underdog in 1964. He called me a bitch!! Since it helped further my career by getting me exclusive news stories, I thought it was OK, but now I realize it was wrong.
@SweetPolly How did you know one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite groups? I still believe those lyrics. So silly...

Not so silly. It even works out that way sometimes, when people who love each other hang in through the rough times.

I don't know just what your former "hero" did to you, Ms Purebred. Must have been pretty bad, for you to throw him under the bus this way. Had he deduced that you were just using him, when he called you a bitch?

How awful for you, SweetPolly. No would have had a clue, since you were always calling out for him to rescue you from peril. I never thought it was at all 'okay', the times someone has sexually "harassed' me. :/

Sexual misconduct. When men behave badly, it's the crime of the century. When women do it, it's a joke. How come?
@Hunkie I know what you said, and I said he needs to tone down his disgusting "rhetoric". Why the...

WHAT "admonishment"? Flip Wilson is very funny...thanks for sharing the clip!

Sexual misconduct. When men behave badly, it's the crime of the century. When women do it, it's a joke. How come?
@Hunkie I agree...Trump IS...uhh.... what's that word you used? Ah, yes..."disgusting". He needs to turn down his...

I said I found his words disgusting. I am not in agreement with what many on both the 'left' and 'right' say or do.

@Hunkie Trump talked.. but...but....but.. Trump LIES. He lies about EVERYTHING!! Everything that comes out of his mouth...

True, he does take liberties with the truth quite a bit.
I didn't say anything about him actually doing what he talked about, did I? I said I found his words disgusting, and would if anyone talked that way.

I do agree, that women sometimes get more of a 'pass' for speaking crudely. Comedians in general often get somewhat excused for that. I do not, however, remember a man being barraged with outrage for simply 'gawking' at an adult women's breasts.

@Hunkie Three "WOMEN" goofing around. Exactly....a "joke". But Trump wasn't goofing around with his locker room talk...

Trump talked about being able to grab women's private parts, and "moving on a woman like a bitch". I'm sure most everyone knows that.

Trump: I did try and fuck her. She was married.

He was too, with a new and pregnant wife at home, when that undeniably disgusting supposed "locker room" talk came to light.

I don't know about you, but I've never been okay with hearing anyone expressing such 'sentiments'.

What that has to do "gawking" , I do not know. It is never 'okay' for anyone to act on their sense of entitlement to touch someone else in a "sexual" way, uninvited. Do you disagree?
I'm sure if the person you chose to highlight in your post is ever accused of doing that, she will experience the same kind of public lynching.
